Unprecedented Face-off Between Current Liga MX and Liga Nacional Leaders
Los Angeles, CA (February 25, 2025) – PRIMETIME Sports, Club León, C.S.D. Municipal, and BMO Stadium officially announce that Mexico’s Club León will face C.S.D. Municipal from Guatemala on Saturday, March 22 at 5:00 p.m. at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
Club León is currently undefeated and sits atop Liga MX standings thanks in part to Colombian international, James Rodríguez and Mexico’s living legend, Andrés Guardado. The Esmeraldas have a loyal following in Southern California and will look to give their fans a victory as they prepare for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup that will take place in the U.S. this summer.
This match will act as a clash of titans as C.S.D. Municipal currently leads Guatemala’s Liga Nacional de Fútbol and will look to test itself against the Liga MX giants. Los Angeles boasts the largest Guatemalan population outside of Guatemala and Los Rojos is one of the most-followed and legendary teams in the Central American country.
A four-hour Fan Fest will take place prior to the game outside the stadium with live music, delicious food, trophies, and much more.
There will be a ticket pre-sale for LAFC season-ticket holders on Wednesday, February 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Tickets will be available to the general public on Thursday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m. PST on Ticketmaster and Ticketon.
